For retail investors, good governance is more than board structures and corporate disclosures. It is about whether a company is making sound decisions, managing risks effectively, allocating capital responsibly and preparing for challenges that could affect its long-term performance.
This forum will explore how boards oversee risk management, climate and nature-related issues, capital allocation and organisational resilience, and what these areas can reveal about the quality of a company’s governance.

Brig. General (NS) Gaurav Keerthi is the Founder and CEO of StrongKeep, providing cybersecurity for the world’s smaller businesses. His extensive leadership background includes serving as Deputy Commissioner of Cybersecurity and Deputy Chief Executive at the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore, CIO of the Republic of Singapore Air Force, and EVP at Ensign InfoSecurity. An expert advisor and international speaker at conferences like UN, WEF, Black Hat, and DEFCON, he holds degrees from Stanford and Harvard universities and serves as an Adjunct Senior Fellow at Nanyang Technological University.
Mr Lee has more than 35 years of experience in accounting and finance. He was an audit partner at KPMG Singapore where he served on the Singapore leadership team and the Asia Pacific executive team. He was also the Head of Real Estate, Investment Banking, Private Banking, an Audit Business Unit and the Head of People at KPMG Singapore.
Currently, he serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director at ComfortDelGro Corporation Limited, U Mobile Holdings Berhad and U Mobile Sdn. Bhd.. He is also a Non-Executive Director of Singapura Developments (Private) Limited and Tech For Good Institute Limited, and a Member of the Governing Council of Singapore Agro-Food Enterprises Federation Limited. Mr Lee has also been appointed by The Honourable the Chief Justice of Singapore to the Inquiry Panel for a two-year term from 1 December 2025.
Mr Lee is a Fellow of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, United Kingdom, and of the Singapore Institute of Directors.
Patrick Cordes joined the firm in Hong King in 2006 and currently holds the roles of Investment COO and COO, Private Capital Asia, leading EQT’s deal services across the full investment lifecycle.
Mr. Cordes is also Deputy Chair of the Private Capital Asia Portfolio Performance Review Committee and a member of the Grant Committee of the EQT Foundation.
Mr. Cordes is a Board Director for Kiteworks and Social Impact Partners and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Economics from Lehigh University.

He specialises in capital markets and mergers and acquisitions.
